Blake arrived back at the dock this morning with an unusual report-- he saw a harbor seal breaching up out of the water just off his stern! This is extremely rare behavior for a harbor seal, and one I've never witnessed myself. This young seal was surfacing, slapping his back flippers on the surface, breached about four times, and "really seemed to be playing."
Pretty excellent unusual sight! Noelle and I will keep our eyes open for the next few days, and see if we can't catch another glimpse!
